Interpretation :

Nicolas Deletaille, arpeggione

This work is inspired by an engraving taken from the Caprichos by Goya. It has been first performed by Nicolas Deletaille on February 15th, 2008, at the Great Hall of the Royal High School of Music of Brussels.

This short piece installs a mysterious climate of wait and fear, midway between an oneiric and a ghost-like climate. The musical writing, concentrated, bases itself on an elliptic process of thematic fragments.

Duration of the work : approximately 5 minutes
